Super deep middle seat would be great for a parent to be able to entertain little ones in rear facing car seats while having lots of room for luggage on a vacation road trip.

When u drive pretty close in city no one will that turn light signal at the bottom 🤞

Thank you for the review. In your next review perhaps you can go more in depth on the safety features and the difference between the SX and the SX Prestige trims. It seems only the Prestige trim has the blind spot view like the Palisade and the SX trim can't get that or the HUD .

  • Anirudh Rajmohan
    Anirudh Rajmohan

Awesome car! All I need is a plug in hybrid version with AWD here in the US and I am sold. Also, while the blind spot camera is a nice touch, it negates the benefits in a foggy, rainy environment so I would rather prefer a blind spot marker on my rear mirrors like it is on my Honda Accord.

🙄 Men always review family cars as if they are going to be full of adults. It would really benefit them to learn how to market to their #1 consumers. Some of the details men provide and focus on are ridiculous and have nothing to do with your primary consumers want, while other details they actually care about are vastly overlooked.

I used to say I would never buy a KIA. Never. The brand name was not exuding quality. Their new is terrific and their products are very nice and attractive. I would now buy a KIA. Good work!

The center seat may move so far back to accommodate for wheelchairs. Meaning you would only need to remove the outside chair and scoot middle chair back. Not sure it would fit, just an idea. It's expensive to get a van modified.

Give it a 6' lift and mud tires and everyone will want one, love the brown interior!!

Hi Alex. I visit the KIA web site and build the top trim (SX Prestige). For my surprise, the auto-diming Interior mirror is a $350 option!!. What about side mirrors. Are they even heated, or power foldable? I don't see an option to get auto-dimming side mirrors. I have them on a Toyota minivan 2006!!! On an almost 50K car I cannot believe that they didn't include that, for me, basic feature on this price range. Great review as usual....

Another reason for the center seat to slide that far: if you have three wide-shouldered adults, you could slide the middle seat back a bit so there is more shoulder/hip room for everyone

  • narebman

Bought one yesterday. Don’t really like the black wheels but otherwise it’s a big improvement on the already impressive Sedona we had before

    • narebman

@Meela234 on the SX and prestige, yes. The other trims have different wheels.

I own it. I LOVE IT. Period. Tough to get though. Took the color I could get, not what I wanted, because, according to all of the Kia Dealers here in TX, 85% sell before they make it to the dealers. GIANT inside, but put it in Sport mode, and it handles like a Mercedes coupe.

The 2022 model is available in the US. I was going to purchase the Telluride but this seems to be more my style. Only negative is that AWD is not available. That should be an option especially in the US market given the terrain and weather conditions in some areas.

Greetings from South Korea. To answer your question, the reason the 2nd row middle seat slides so far back is for its use as a drinks table. Stay with me. The left and right 2nd row middle seats are taken out during a car camping trip or beach party. You take the left seat around to the right side of the car, and the right seat around to the left side of the car and install the seats backwards. You will know when they are installed properly when you see the green light come on at the bottom of the seat. With the turned seats, and middle seat down as a now have a drinks lounge or conversation booth in the back of the car. You're welcome!

My son n law and daughter just got his after waiting a few weeks for a so called chip. It’s actually very nice . The chrome strip in person is actually worse looking. My knock! He picked it up yesterday very late. So this morning my 4 yr old Grandaughter said while watching tv inside of it . That Amazon delivered it last night and daddy just took it out of the box .

Until stow-n-go seats are available in other makes, the Pacifica is the best vehicle when you have three senior greyhounds (lowest entry level and maximum floor space)

  • LordTrayus

This is a mini-van? Holy crap! No wonder kids are so spoiled these days. There was a time something like this was reserved for high class limos from Mercedes. Now you're telling me every soccer mom has one of these? WOW!

  • Stephen Hendricks
    Stephen Hendricks

Had a Mazda MPV in the early 1990's (or maybe the late '80's. The early stage Alzheimer's may be setting in.) It was a great vehicle and the only minivan at the time that offered AWD. That feature arguably saved my wife's and my life when it got stuck in deep snow in a ditch on a lonely logging road in the Washington Cascades. Without AWD I don't think I could have extracted it and it would have been a long, long hike to civilization. I wondered for years after why other vans didn't offer AWD. Kudos to the Pacifica for offering AWD on the non-hybrid model. And kudos to Toyota for its version of AWD on the Sienna with its hybrid powertrain. I'm not impressed with the new Sienna though it's admittedly a significant upgrade over the last generation. As far as the Odyssey is concerned it appears that Honda is resting on its laurels. So for me it would be a choice between Pacifica and the KIA Carnival. And that would be a difficult one. No AWD or hybrid powertrain the Carnival but appealing looks and near luxury interior. The Pacifica, on the other hand, offers a choice between AWD and a hybrid powertrain. Fortunately, I can avoid the choice as I have little use for a minivan these days.

I test drive the Hybrid Sienna and I am Toyota owner here... The hybrid powertrain was rough and jerky and while had sufficient power, you had to really floor it... The Kia on the other hand was smooth as butter and felt like a high end SUV... Interior wise Sienna was using a old grainy back up camera and dated head unit vs a high resoultion touch 12 inch display that is very fast and responsive on the Kia... I recommend you test drive it and compare...
